In a While, Crocodile

The whirlwind conclusion to the school year is behind us.  But in so many ways, it feels like we just got here.

Blink.

Tomorrow night, we fly west.

We have been told to anticipate many conversations that start with "So, how's life in India?"

"Well, um.....awesome?"

This school year has definitely been the adventure that we were hoping it would be. We grew professionally, traveled widely, lived comfortably, regressed a bit socially, and spent a terrific amount of quality time together as a family. Teaching at a top-notch school overseas might just be the best gig around.

And as if that wasn't enough, we also get summer vacation.

So as much as we like it here, it is time for a break.  We are beyond excited to land in the USA (after a four day stopover in Paris) and hug everyone we know over the course of seven and a half weeks. We have a long list of people to see, things to buy, and places to eat.  Destinations include: a few Boston suburbs; a few Portland suburbs; multiple Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru locations; South Euclid, Ohio; Fire Island, New York; Ogunquit and Kimball Pond, Maine. Perhaps our paths will cross? We'll be the ones driving on the wrong side of the road and trying to bargain at the Freeport outlet shops.

And now, this blog is officially on vacation. Thank you for reading along and for sharing your comments and questions.  It has meant a lot to know that you were checking in and interested in hearing our stories.

Next year, we want visitors!

Yay! Exciting time! Your schedule sounds very full, however, if you find some time for a little Caring Place reunion, Abby would love to see Liam and Asa.
Safe travels and enjoy all the adventures that await you on this side of the world!
