I feel it is my blogging duty to write new posts on a regular basis and publish them in chronological order. But I've been a slacker. I wish I could devote more time to writing and share stories more frequently. I totally admire bloggers who have new things to say all the time. But I think if I had all that spare time to write, write, write, I wouldn't have anything that interesting to write about. Thus, my conundrum.
Anyhoo, before I get carried away editing the 4,000 pictures from winter break, I must get something written about Thanksgiving. For this getaway, we traveled with another family of four - the two delightful daughters somehow balance out - yet keep pace with - our crazy boys. We flew to Aurangabad (northeast of Mumbai) Thursday afternoon, had two full days to explore, spent the afternoons poolside, and returned to Delhi Sunday morning.
In the interest of wanting to a.) complete this very belated post and b.) save time, I will defer to my wise, worldly, and she-must-take-notes-as-she-travels colleague whose post on her time spent in the same place on the same weekend provides heaps of details about the Ellora and Ajanta caves. And while someone else provides the history lesson, I will simply share this album of 100 photos. Okay, some of the pictures have captions so that counts for something, right? Here are a few images to pique your interest:
Much to be thankful for this weekend, plus a fun time away and one more experience checked off the India bucket list.
