I'll Sure Miss: Friday Morning Routine

For the past two years, Friday mornings have started with a three mile walk to Nehru Park. A dedicated group of four (sometimes five) meet up at 6:00am just inside Gate 2. From there, we chatter our way through the next hour, fending off street dogs and occasionally spotting a monkey or a peacock.

Once inside the park, we take a right and walk counter-clockwise around dirt track:

These men with their typewriters fascinate me. They set up shop on the sidewalk outside the High Commission of Pakistan and prepare documents for customers.

No peacocks on this particular Friday but we did see a monkey and this cow:

And after two years of passing by this guy with his breakfast cart, always posted by the line of people seeking visas to the United States, we stopped for chai and an omelet.

Going to miss this fantastic ladies (plus one more currently on maternity leave). Our weekly catch up time has been precious and I look forward to walking with you again in some new places!

I joined this group, but I sure wish I had been there when YOU were there! Just one more thing to miss. xo
