End of an era
This is the last box of application files that I read, in my house. Ever. A fond farewell to the schlepping of Banker's Boxes in snow, sleet, and rain, numerous paper cuts, and required use of fancy pencils.
For the past six years (well, five counting that maternity leave a few winters back), I have had the terrific privilege to meet thousands of prospective students through their essays, interviews, transcripts, and recommendations. With the upcoming return to the high school "side of the desk", I will really miss the reading season (but not the deciding season, which is considerably less pleasant).
