Spring Break: Jonah's Last Continent!

Oh spring break, how we loved you. We flew to Perth and spent a week in a cozy house (our first through Airbnb) in Fremantle just a block from the neighborhood beach.

Blue skies, rented bikes, delicious food, local wine and handcrafted beer, and long, lazy days. The icing on the cake was that this marked Jonah's seventh and final continent. Here are some highlights.....

Liam had an impromptu didgeridoo lesson and of course, we bought one of these funky instruments to take home.

We spent a day at the Caversham Wildlife Park, just north of Perth where we got to hang out with a koala bear, a wombat, and many kangaroos and their adorable joeys:

Our beach (the floating dock made it eerily reminiscent of where we spend our summers):

Took a short ferry ride and spend one day biking the loop around Rottnest Island. We dropped into beaches along the way and took a requisite selfie with a quokka:

Took another day to bike up to Cottesloe Beach on the north side of Perth:

On our last full day, we took the train up to Perth, strolled around Kings Park, and had lunch at the funky Greenhouse, where an episode of MasterChef Australia was filmed:

Final sunset/sundowner of the week:
